Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (Not a Notice of Solicitation) The Information Technology Branch (ASC/PKWIE), is conducting market research to determine potential sources to provide support for the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). The NOSC is responsible for the operations, management and security of the AFMC (Air Force Material Command) network enterprise. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, supervision, and other services necessary to perform network security and management for the AFMC enterprise network. A proposed Draft Statement of Work and the NOSC CONOPs are attached to provide respondents a better understanding of the needs of the Air Force and the respondents potential ability to meet the governments requirements. The Air Force anticipates utilizing an existing contract vehicle for this award. The Period of Performance for this effort is expected to be one base year with four one-year option periods. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract/order on the basis of this sources sought synopsis or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this synopsis as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose. Capabilities Package: All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates capabilities and expertise related to this effort. The capabilities package requirements are to be presented in accordance with the attachment entitled "Capabilites Package". Mr Michael Higgins, ASC/SYS, Bldg 572, 1790 10 St, Room 203, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7630, (937) 255-6005 has been appointed as Ombudsman. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, evaluation of proposals or source selection process and does not diminish the authority of the contracting officer.
