- NA The MK 143 is a low hazard, flexible, linear, shaped charge used to produce a linear cutting action. The MK 143 is one of a series of charges in this family. The family consists of the MK 142, MK 143, MK 144, MK 145, and MK 149. The technical requirements are defined by Detailed Specification OES-DTL-0006C. The items are identified as follows: Chg, Shpd, Lin, Flex, Low Hazard, MK 142 1375-01-328-4732 MM24; Chg, Shpd, Lin, Flex, Low Hazard, MK 143 1375-01-328-5796 MM51; Chg, Shpd, Lin, Flex, Low Hazard, MK 144 1375-01-328-5797 MM52; Chg, Shpd, Lin, Flex, Low Hazard, MK 145 1375-01-328 -8048 MM53; Chg, Shpd, Lin, Flex, Low Hazard, MK 149 1375-01-328-8049 MM54. All of these charges have the same configuration. They have a continuous explosive core of PBX with a flexible copper liner and encased in light-weight polyethylene foam. They vary o nly in the amount of explosive that is used per foot and the physical dimensions. A respondent to this market survey should be able to show that they have adequate technical capability, manufacturing capacity and good past performance in the explosives processing industry, as an indicator of your qualifications. A respondent to this mar ket survey must have available, a majority of the skills and facilities required to manufacture this item. Interested companies who have the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the following information; a brief summary of your company?s cap abilities, description of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience; estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quantities, estimated prices, and the minimum procurement quantity (MPQ) required for production. If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or s ubcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria.
