NA Description: THIS NOTICE IS NOT INTENDED TO SOLICIT INTEREST FROM NEW CONTRACTORS FOR THIS RFP, BUT TO NOTIFY POTENTIAL SUBCONTRACTORS OF THE PRIME CONTRACTORS SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SECOND PHASE OF THIS TWO-PHASE DESIGN BUILD PROJECT. Phase One has concluded and offerors have been selected to proceed to Phase Two. Phase Two documents will be issued on or about 30 Apr 02. Phase Two proposals will be due on or about 14 Jun 02. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and al l amendments from the internet after solicitation issuance at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/. Description of Work: This solicitation is for the design, permitting, site preparation and construction of a passenger processing terminal at Lawson Army Airfi eld, Fort Benning, Georgia. This facility is a one-story masonry building to meet the military personnel processing and waiting requirements and will be constructed with a standing seam metal roof, concrete floor, and steel stud/gypsum board interior wall system. Generally, interior finishes will be painted gypsum and cmu walls, suspended ceilings, and vinyl tile floors. Total area for the main facility is approximately 6,192 SM, which includes assembly spaces, offices, classroom space, a conference room , toilets and showers, and a secure storage space. Other components of the complex include a covered pallet storage area, a 100-ton in-ground vehicle scale, a vehicle wash rack, a load staging area for nine aircraft, a fueling / de-fueling station, a secu re storage area, a material handling equipment storage building, a bus drop-off area, and a 15,000 lb. pallet scale. Supporting facilities include roads, parking areas for privately owned vehicles, fencing, and utility services. This project shall be desi gned by registered architects and engineers employed by or subcontracted by the successful contractor. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, offers the ?Best Value? to the Government, price and technical factors considered. The estimated cost of the project is between $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00. Network Analysis will be required. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
