- Description
- The purpose of this box is filtration of milk house waste, or other polluted water at maximum flow rate of 30 gallons per minute. Incoming water will be filtered using out lignocellulosic filters. Filters are placed in stainless steel frames and the dimension of frame is 23 3/4 x 23 3/4 x 3/4. The frames should be installed into the box eith minimum friction and water should not (or minimum) by-pass through the gap between the frames and the box. The frames will be changed every three to four months and should be removed with minimum friction. Our design shows half cirlce slots, but it is up to the manufacturer to make changes to fit the filters into the box with best of their imagination. It is not shown but a cover to prevent vandalism and contamination is needed. It is preeferred the cover be in two sections so that any small person can lift and take samples and finally the cover needs to be locked. Sometimes the box will be buried completely under the ground or above the ground. The thickness of fiberglass should be able to stand the pressure from the soil and water inside, and to keep the weight minimum. Supporting ribs should be considered to be installed/attached to the outside of the box to sustain water and soil pressure.
