- Description
- This notice is to announce solicitation N00033-02-R-2005 for the time charter of U.S or foreign flag cable ship(s) with U.S. or NATO security clearance as appropriate for retrieval, test, repair, laying, burial or performing oceanographic surveys to support installation, maintenance or protection of cables in all ocean waters. It is the Government?s intention to make multiple awards for a requirements contract to the most competitive offeror for five separate mission functions: survey, repair, installation, cable burial by remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and cable burial by plow operations. Each individual award will include the right of first refusal for delivery orders on less than 45 days notice. Service is worldwide. The Government reserves the right to enter the spot market if the Contractor is unable to provide service if given less than the required notice. Charter Period is one year from date of award with the Government?s sole option for three (3) one-year options and one (1) 11-month option. The Solicitation will be posted under the Contracts section of the Military Sealift Command website at www.msc.navy.mil.
