Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ has a requirement three (3) each Battery Charger Sets (P/N 178AS1700) in support of the V-22 Aircraft which contains various electrically initiated explosive Cartridge Actuated Devices (CAD). The rescue Hoist System is equipped with a Mark 44 CAD before MOD 0 CAD. Certified Ordinance Personnel must remove the Mark 44 CAD before any maintenance is performed on the Rescue Hoist Electrically Initiated Cartridges shall b e kept away from stray electrical currents. Under certain conditions, dangerous potentials can be stored in circuits after the power source has been disconnected because of the charges retained by capacitors. An O-Level requirement exists to check for stray, voltages in paths of electrical currents, which contain electrically, initiated explosive CADS. Test Set, Aircraft Firing Circuit AN/AWM-54, part Number 178AS100, meets the requirement the functional analysis for checking stray voltages. A requirement exists to periodically recharge the batteries of the AN/AWM-54 Test Set. The Battery Charger, Model PP6681A/AWM, Part Number 178AS100, meets the requirement of the functional analysis for battery recharging. This RFQ is being issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contracts cannot be awarded to contractors unless they are registered.
