Description

N62477-02-B-3009 (Reference Presynopsis Notice PAX-02-741039) The solicitation will consist of a base bid and one option. Provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering, and transportation necessary to construct a 5,700 square foot pre-engineered metal building for use as an Armament Test Laboratory. The building includes a structural floor slab with a pit, separate masonry walled equipment rooms, sprinkler room and unisex toilet with a concrete roof forming a mezzanine above. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning are included (except for Lab Area - see Option 1). Provide sewage system, sprinkler system and a fire pump. Provide lighting and power systems. Remove unsuitable soils and replace with controlled fill. Demolish existing pavement. Provide site grading, a bioretention area, new airfield pavement and all supporting utilities to the new building and incidental related work. Option (1) consists of the following: Provide air-conditioning of the Lab Area. Option (1) can be exercised anytime within 120 days of award. The time for completion of base and option is 270 calendar days. The cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The NAICS Code for this project is 23332 and the Size Standard is $28.5M. This project is advertised on an unrestricted basis. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), the solicitation will be available for download on 03 May 2002 free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil (website). Hard copies (paper sets) of CD-ROM of solicitation WILL NOT be provided by the Government. There will be only one (1) site visit. The site visit will be held on Wednesday, 15 May 2002, at 10:00 AM EDT. Meet at the Bldg 504, 22445 Peary Road, Patuxent River, Maryland 20670-5504. The point of contact for the site visit is Lt. Emily Sonnier at 301-757-1002 or Mark Donaldson at 301 757-4729. Participants will meet at the OICC/ROICC Naval Air Station, Bldg. 504, 22445 Peary Road, Patuxent River, Maryland, ROICC Conference Room. All planning to attend the site visit must register in advance in order to receive base access passes. This solicitation is available in electronic format only. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore, IT IS THE BIDDER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. Bidders must also be registered in the Contractor's Central Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement. The website for CCR is http://www.ccr.gov. Technical inquiries must be submitted in writing 15 days before bid opening date to the address listed above, or faxed to 301-342-3141, Attn: Patrick K.
