- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center has a Small Business set-aside for 24 each Ballast Cans with three Options of 20 each per options. Ballast cans are torpedo shaped metal tubes which substitute for torpedoes in the launch tubes. They are removed when it is necessary to use the torpedo tubes. The dimensions are: length: 21 ft., 9.6 in.; diameter: 24 in.; weight: 6,800 lbs.; material: steel. Delivery is expected to begin 180 days after award. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room. NAICS Code: 332999; 500 employees. The solicitation is expected to be made available on the NUWC web site on 2002 April 25 at the earliest.
