- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), on behalf of the Department of the Treasury, intends to award a contract for the purchase of commercially available hardware and software (adaptive technology), and support services for employees with disabilities. Support services will include integration, installation, training, maintenance and software support. The maintenance and software support will cover adaptive technology provided under this contract as well as adaptive technology currently owned by the Department of Treasury. The required supplies and services have been determined to meet the definition of commercial items in accordance with Part 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This project shall be entitled the Disabled Employees Support Acquisition Contract (DESAC III) and will be released as solicitation number TIRNO-02-R-00016. In accordance with Part 19 of the FAR, this procurement has been deemed a total small business set-aside. As such, competition will be limited exclusively to small business concerns. The NAICS Code is 334119. The solicitation document will be posted on the internet at http://www.procurement.irs.treas.gov/ within 15 days of the publication date of this synopsis. All vendors who download a copy of the solicitation and wish to be included on the Bidders List must register by e-mail to awss.desac@irs.gov. This registration should include only the company name, address and point of contact. This registration should not include questions, advertisements or other non-pertinent information. This registration should not be considered a request for the solicitation. Copies of the solicitation can only be obtained from the internet address listed above. All relevant information regarding proposal preparation and submission will be included in the solicitation document. Questions regarding this procurement must be submitted in writing within 10 days of the solicitation?s posting date (25 days after the publication of this synopsis).
