- Description
- This project consists of providing labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to complete the restoration of the Helm Bay, McDonald Lake, and Jordan Lake recreation cabins on the Ketchikan Misty Fiords Ranger District, Tongass National Forest, Southeast Alaska. The work includes replacement of foundations, decks, roofs, windows, doors, skylights, chimney, floors, furniture, painting of interior and exterior walls, and other miscellaneous work. The work also includes a minor design component for which the services of a registered professional engineer will be necessary. The Helm Bay cabin is located on the Cleveland Peninsula on the western shore of Helm Bay, approximately 19 kilometers from Knutson Cove near Ketchikan, Alaska. The McDonald Lake cabin is located on the Cleveland Peninsula north of Yes Bay approximately 80 kilometers north of Ketchikan, Alaska. The Jordan Lake cabin is located on Revillagigedo Island approximately 24 kilometers north of Ketchikan, Alaska within the Naha Recreation Area. Blocks of time beginning on July 15 until September 8, 2002 have been reserved for work at each cabin site. This acquisition is subject to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is thus open to all businesses regardless of size. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about May 13, 2002 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference the solicitation number. Telephone requests for the solicitation or to be placed on a bidders list will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
