- General Information Document Type: Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number: F4165202R0006 Posted Date: May 01, 2002 Archive Date: Classification Code: Z Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Combat Command, 7 CONS, 381 Third Street, Dyess AFB, TX 79607-1581 Description This project calls for various repairs and/or complete reconstruction to base streets at Dyess AFB, Texas. The project is a requirements type contract and work will be released to contractor in work packages via individual task orders. The government reserves the right to utilize in-house forces to accomplish work on base pavements; however, the government guarantees that all task orders for work on this contract will be awarded to the contractor, except for those instances where government in-house forces are used. In-house work forces are defined as government employees only. Unit prices will be taken for the Base Year (year one) and one Option Year (year two). Work may include, but is not necessarily limited to: 1) Portland cement concrete and hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement section replacement, 2) installation of asphalt overlays, 3) installation of pavement markings, 4) sidewalks, 5) curbs and gutters, and 6) surveying. The North American Industry Classification Code that applies to the principal nature of the acquisition is 234110. The successful contractor will be selected using Past Performance Trade Off (PPTO) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Past performance is significantly greater in importance than price. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 22 May 2002 via the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://eps.gov/. The site visit is scheduled for 5 June 2002 at 9:00 AM CDT. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. It is anticipated that the following viewers will be needed to view the solicitation: Microsoft Word (.doc), Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf), WinZip (.zip or .exe.), and/or MaxView/SourceView (.svd). More information concerning these viewers can be found on the EPS website. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. The closing date and time for submission of offerors will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation, notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile, or written requests will be accepted. Please submit any question regarding the solicitation in writing at the site visit.
