- THE ABOVE ADDRESS IN INCORRECT. Please use the following address for any correspondence: Division of Research Acquisition, NIH, 6100 Executive Boulevard, Room 6E01, MSC 7540, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7540. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA), intends to negotiate with the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions to perform and quantify longitudinal neuroimaging scans of selected participants in the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging (BLSA) over a nine-year period. This project is an continuation of Contract No. N01-AG-3-2124. The data to be collected will include assessments of brain structure and function through magnetic resonance MR imaging and position emission tomography (PET) scans, and assessments of memory, other cognitive functions, and mood. Statutory authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The cited authority is applicable because the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions is the only neuroimaging facility capable of fulfilling the requirements of this contract. State-of -the-art PET and MRI imaging must be available in a single facility. This is NOT a Request for Proposal. See Numbered Note 22.
