Description
The Navy intends to issue a competitive Request For Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, with the intent of awarding a cost-plus-award-fee contract with award term provisions indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. This requirement is for Electronics Professional, Technical and Management Support Services, which includes services in the areas of quality assurance support, engineering analyses and studies, design engineering, production engineering support, test and evaluation, technical data support, field engineering, integrated logistics support, maintenance planning, supply support, training, technical documentation, computer resources support, configuration management, program management support, and data management. The period of performance is 5 years with award term provisions. The award terms will be in one-year inc rements with a maximum of 5 additional years for a maximum available contract period of 10 years if all award terms are earned. The level of effort is estimated at 2,578,722 direct labor hours for the basic 5 year period of performance. If all award term periods are earned, the level of effort is estimated at 3,374,358 direct labor hours for the 5 award term year period. The total estimated direct labor hours for the potential ten year contract award period is 5,953,080 if all award term periods are earned. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. Delivery is FOB Destination NSWC Crane Division. It is suggested that those firms interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this acquisition make direct contact with those prospective prime contractor firms.
