Description

NA We intend to award a sole source contract to KOR Electronics, 11958 Monarch St., Garden Grove, CA 92841 for a Universal Radar Targets Simulator (URTS). This is a high precision, portable radar simulator using proven Digital Radio Frequency Memories (DRFM) technology. The URTS will provide for laboratory direct connection (injection capability) and free space illumination of radar systems for test and evaluation, operator training and mission preparation. Operation shall be in any 400 Mhz band from 2GHz t o 18 GHz and shall generate coherent, high fidelity target returns. The URTS is sole source to KOR because of the need for compatibility with other similar systems already present on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) and at other test ranges. The integrit y of the comparison of data between sources, requires that the data be generated in a like format. KOR DRFM technology is already located at various WSMR and other DOD test sites. The introduction of data generated by another vendor's DRFM technology wou ld make the sharing and comparing of data very difficult.
