NA The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) will host an Acquisition Strategy Panel meeting for the On-Site Inspection Directorate (OS) Program Support Requirement on Monday, 13 May from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. (EST) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This will be the dec ision meeting for finalizing the acquisition strategy and business approach for the OS Program Support work. This is a unique opportunity for industry to attend a DTRA Acquisition Strategy Panel. The purpose is to allow Industry an opportunity to observe h ow the DTRA decides on its acquisition approach. The discussion will center on key issues that will determine the nature of the resulting Request for Proposal and the decision process. Pre-Registration is required. If seats are filled and additional companies wish to participate, the final list of attendees may be balanced to allow for broader attendance by Industry. This requirement was previously synopsized 16 January 2002 as Solicitation Number DTRA01-OS-01 as a Sources Sought Notice. A draft Request for Proposal will be released on or about 14 May 2002 and will be posted on FedBizOps. The Request for Proposal will be released on or about 21 May 2002 and will also be posted on FedBizOps. A description of the requirement follows: The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has a requirement for a wide range of services to support the mission of the On-Site Inspection Directorate (OS): conduct U.S. Government (USG) inspections and coordinat e foreign inspections under arms control treaties and agreements; plan and prepare for future agreements; execute tasks furthering USG arms control and threat reduction initiatives; organize, train, equip, and deploy inspection, audit and examination, moni toring and escort teams; and accomplish other tasks requiring the unique skills resident in OS. Tasks may fall within the following categories: (1) Technical, Analytical and Logistics Support: initial assessments and impacts, review and revision of rel evant documents, implementation planning, preparation and execution, technical and analytical support, strategic planning, coordination, and quick response support; (2) Defense Treaty Inspection Readiness and Outreach Support: technical, program and adm inistrative support for on-site security training, guidance and assistance, to include site assessments, training materials, information pamphlets, circulars, etc.; (3) Equipment/System Support: technical and analytical support for treaty/mission equipme nt or information systems, including operation and maintenance of equipment, systems and procedures; (4) Training: technical, administrative or general support services (facilities, equipment, materials, etc.) for treaty or mission-related training cours es, seminars, and meetings for language, military or civilian training; and (5) Planning: support for OS and DTRA arms control and treaty planning activities. DTRA's intent is to award a single Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with an or dering period of 66 months plus an additional period of performance of 6 months.
