Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R1-04-02-64 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-06. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is $21.5 million. The North American Industry Classification Code is 532111. One contract will be awarded and it will be an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed price. A quotation is requested for monthly pricing on the following eight items: Item One (1), Up to 5 passenger, full size extended cab pickup, short or long bed, 4x4 preferred (4x2 may be acceptable), ? ton rated payload capacity. Item Two (2), 3 to 5 passenger, small extended cab pickup, short bed, 4x4 preferred (4x2 may be acceptable), up to ? ton rated payload capacity. Item Three (3), 6 passenger, 4-door cab pickup, short or long bed, 4x4 preferred (4x2 may be acceptable), ? to 1-ton rated payload capacity. Item Four (4), 5 passenger rated small 4-door SUV, (example Chevy Blazer, Jeep Liberty, Ford Escape), 4x4 preferred, up to ? ton rated payload capacity. Item Five (5), 5 passenger rated mid-size 4-door SUV, (example Chevy Trailblazer, Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer), 4x4 preferred, ? ton rated payload capacity. Item Six (6), 6 to 9 passenger rated large SUV, (example Chevy Tahoe/Suburban, Ford Expedition/Excursion), 4x4 preferred, ? ton plus rated payload capacity. Item Seven (7), 7 plus passenger mini-van, 2-wheel or all wheel drive. Item Eight (8), 12 plus passenger full-size van, 4x2. It is the Government?s intent to rent a minimum of 19 vehicles initially (13 each of Item One, 4 each of Item Two or Four, and 2 each of Item Five) for a minimum of 3 months. The effective period of this contract is from June 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002 with a maximum ordering amount of $100,000 over the period of the contract. Vendors must have the capability to pick up and deliver vehicles to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Required delivery of vehicles no later than June 1, 2002 to: Idaho Panhandle National Forests, ATTN: John Crews, 3815 Schreiber Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The contract award will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering past performance, technical capability and price. Offerors will include with their offer a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
