- Description
- NA U.S. Army Headquarters, Operations Support Command intends to issue a solicitation for providing complete logistical support functions to maintain US Army Watercraft in mission ready condition at North Dock, Yokohama Japan, through a comprehensive storage and maintenance program. There are three main phases to this effort 1) maintenance of the storage environment for all watercraft, 2) COSIS maintenance, and 3) preparation of watercraft for activation. Contractor must be able to obtain and provide a Secre t Level Security Clearance issued by Defense Security Service (DSS) prior to solicitation closing. A technical assistance agreement as defined in the International Traffic Arms Regulation (ITAR) may be required because certain watercraft may be listed on t he US munitions lists. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract with a base period of performance of ONE year and FOUR one-year options. Contract line items (CLINS) may consist of either firm fixed price, time and materials and/or cost reimbursemen t. Best value procurement will be utilized. No oral presentations are contemplated. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 58839. This procurement is unrestricted. Projected release of the solicitation is 20 May 02. Date for receipt of propo sals is 2 Jul 02. There will be a Pre-Proposal Conference held on 05 June 02 at the Baylor Conference Room, Building 103, third floor, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL at 09:00 Central Daylight Time. Each company is restricted to three (3) attendees, contractors to not ify POC whether or not you will attend. Please provide name and title of each attendee. Site Visit: Information regarding inspecting the site including a designated POC, date, time, phone number and email address will be issued in the solicitation or an amendment at a later date. Failure to inspect the site will not be grounds for a claim after award. You will be required to register with the POC designated for site inspection prior to visiting the site. A written record will be kept of those who inspect the site. The HQ OSC Electronic Bulletin Board will be utilized to post draft and final solicitation documentation along with questions and answers.
