Description

NA Any questions regarding this solicitation should be addressed to: Kevin T Mulvihill at Kevin.T.Mulvihill@usace.army.mil. The Seattle District has a requirement for Invitation fo Bid (IFB). The purpose is to Replace the Stoney Gate Valve Machinery at the Chittenden Locks located at Lake Washington Ship Canal, Seattle, Washington. The Contractor shall be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals to remove the old ele ctrical motor and screw drive for the gate valves inside the locks. Install new screw drives and hydraulic motors. Connect the new system to existing hydraulic system. Program and install new PC based control computer to operate the locks. The estimate d dollar value is in the range of $500,000.00 to $1 Million and the completion period is 365 calender days. Proposed procurement will result in the award of a firm fixed-price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234930 and the Standard Industry Classification Code (SIC) is 1629 with size standard of $28.5 Million. This solicitation will be issued as a Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on Seattle District U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Web page in electronic format only. No disks will be mailed. Firms must register via the Internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/ in order to receive notification about amendments. The s olicitation will be available for download on or about 28 May 2002.
