- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for rental of two each self-contained air compressor systems to supply high-pressure compressed air for ship service applications including breathing air. The base rental period shall be from 04 Jul 02 through 20 Jan 03 with four options to extend at one-week intervals. The compressors shall be capable of supplying at least 85 SCFM of air at a pressure of 5,000 psig and capable of continuous operation. The compressed air supplied by the compressor system shall be certified for breathing air quality per paragraph 15008 of OPNAVINST 5100.23D or the applicable OSHA regulations for compressed breathing air supply. The air compressor system shall be electrically-powered, suitable for a 460 volt, 3 phase power supply and shall be suitable for operation in a marine industrial environment. Units to include 24 hour a day, seven-day a week on-call repair service during the rental period. The air compressors (and associated equipment) are to be delivered and retrieved from North Island Naval Air Station, Coronado (great San Diego area), California. This requirement will be procured in accordance with Part 12, commercial, simplified acquisition procedures utilizing best value evaluation of offers. The unrestricted commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 15 May 02 with a closing date of 05 Jun 02. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors shall check the website periodically for the posting of the solicitation. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 15 May 02. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) provide manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.2000.com/). This is a web-based solicitation. No hard-copy solicitation. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to monique_a_klose@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same.
