- Description
- BASELINE INVENTORY PROGRAM The Library of Congress has a requirement for an inventory of the physical holdings in the General Collections, Law, and Area Studies. The purpose of the inventory is to create item and holdings records for the physical items in the Library's integrated library system. There are approximately 10,000,000 volumes to record. This requirement includes comparing the volumes with online and manual files, creating new records when needed, affixing a barcode label and linking it to an item record, and updating records to indicate that physical inventory has been completed. Work will be performed on-site at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. and it is anticipated the requirement will include a base year and five (5) option years. Solicitation S-LC02038 will be posted on this site on or about May 15, 2002.
