Description
The original synopsis was posted October 23, 2001. This synopsis REPLACES THE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS IN ITS ENTIRETY. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure wildlife management services in order to minimize the impact the resident geese have on the 570-acre property located at 100 Bureau Drive, Gaithersburg, MD. The impact has included goose debris around all buildings, walkways, and parking lots, contamination of the property's ecosystem, and undesirable goose interactions with people. This requirement is advertised as a performance based service effort. As such, the proposal to be submitted shall identify the methodology to be used during contract performance. The Government will evaluate the quoter's understanding of the requirement including the proposed methodology in achieving the desired goal, past performance, and a demonstration of the proposed methodology to be utilized during contract performance. The Government anticipates a firm fixed price contract for a 12-month base year period with four one-year option periods, if exercised. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov. The solicitation, SB1341-02-R-0005, is anticipated for release to the vendor community within a few days and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offers are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored and no bidders lists will be maintained.
