Description

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for installation of 1920 linear feet of vinyl sheetpile bulkhead along the borrow canal adjacent to Mackay Island Road at Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge, Knotts Island, NC. Due to other projects ongoing at the Refuge, mobilization to the site will not be allowed prior to November 15, 2002. This project is a continuation of a previous project and will be connecting to five (5) different areas where vinyl bulkheading was installed. This is not a small business set-aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 234990. The size standard is $27.5 million. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about 05/20/02, with a 30 day closing. Requests for IFB shall be in writing, stating IFB number 401812B015, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and phone number/fax number. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued, with a performance period of 149 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is on/about 07/01/02. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests may be faxed to (404) 679-4057. There is no charge for obtaining the solicitation, however, only one copy to each company per request.
