Description
SYNOPSIS: Provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment to replace existing fire detection and alarm system in the station building with an addressable fire detection and alarm system and other new demolition work. The new system shall include a new addressable fire alarm control panel, addressable heat detectors, addressable smoke detectors, addressable manual pull stations, audible/visual notification appliances. Work shall be performed at US Coast Guard Station Georgetown, South Carolina. The performance period is sixty (60) calendar days from award date. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive quoter. The anticipated award date is February 26, 2002. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235310, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. No telephone requests for this solicitation will be accepted; THIS SOLICITATION IN ITS ENTIERTY IS AVAILABLE ON LINE AT HHP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV UNDER THE ABOVE SOLICITATION NUMBER. ATTENTION: minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,00. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
