Description
Description - R ? Professional, Administrative and Management Support Services. SPAWAR System Center Charleston will negotiate on a sole-source basis with Veridian of 1400 Key Boulevard, Suite 100 Arlington, VA 22209 for Research and Development, Test and Evaluation, implementation, and demonstration of dual-use (military & law enforcement) technology in proof of concept and prototype demonstrations and implementations. Efforts will involve rapid development of rapid prototype technology systems including integration and modification of Veridian proprietary planning & collaboration, command & control, and mining tools and technology as well as building upon proof-of-concept demonstration of emerging tools and technology in law enforcement and responder operational domains. Not included in this effort is subsequent roll out of multiple operational implementations on a program level. Efforts involve addressing DOD, Federal, State, and local policy and technical challenges through integrated scenarios and demonstrations. Security Clearance at the Top Secret level is required. Key personnel include Chief Scientist, System Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Integration Engineer, and senior law enforcement, emergency management, and responder domain analysts. Key personnel will be required to have advanced degrees up to the Ph.D. level. The total estimated hours for these personnel is 12,000. Performance period will be for a base year (12 month) with three (3) option periods consisting of twelve (12) months each. This announcement is not issued as an 8(a) or small business set-aside. This notification is published for informational purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The solicitation number for this requirement is N65236-02-R-0069. A Cost Plus fixed Fee type contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code is 541710 and the size standard is 500 employees.
