Description
FERC requires professional verbatim reporting services to commence on October 1, 2002. The period of performance will be approximately five years, consisting of one base year and four one year options. The reporting services are required for the FERC proceedings within the Washington, DC area and at various other locations outside the Washington, DC area. The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearings at the FERC are multi-party proceedings. Sometimes one hundred or more parties are involved however, it is the norm to have at least fifteen parties. Further it is common for the FERC to have as many as seven hearings running simultaneously, and on occasion, there are as many as ten. The proceedings shall be recorded with either stenotype or stenomask equipment. When requested by the presiding Judge, the court reporter will provide real time transcription. Delivery of transcripts to FERC is required by 8:30 a.m. est. the day following the hearing or conference. Offerors will be required to propose a concession fee per page and to be paid to the FERC in consideration of receiving the exclusive right to sell copies to the general public within ten days of the hearing or proceeding at established rates.
