Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for logistics support of the Integrated Communications Switching Systems (ICSS), Rapid Deployment Voice Switching Systems (RDVS) and associated administrative telephone systems (ATS) and TELRAD units. The ICSS and RDVS, manufactured by Litton-Amecom, Inc., and Denro, Inc., provide voice communications switching in Air Traffic Control Facilities and Automated Flight Service Station facilities. These systems also provide voice communications among flight service specialists, air traffic controllers and aircraft. It is essential that support of this equipment be performed in a timely manner to ensure the safety of aircraft and the flying public. The attached DRAFT Statement-of-Work (SOW) describes requirements for a logistics and component repair service; provision for on-site ICSS, ATS and TELRAD spares; depot-level RDVS spares; provision for consumable items and materials; exchange and repair (E&R) service; RDVS test bed system; maintenance engineering services; system moves/changes/and relocation tasks; system position expansion tasks; and system functional enhancement tasks. The FAA anticipates the release of a Screening Information Request SIR)/Request for Proposal (RFP) in mid-CY2002. Vendors that believe they have the capability of fulfilling all of the requirements stated in the attached DRAFT Statement of Work should submit documentation detailing their credentials by 14 May 2002 at 12:00PM EDT. Materials (please submit three (3) copies) should be hand-delivered or sent via overnight delivery service to: Federal Aviation Administration ATTN: Brian Stora, ASU-340 (Room 406) 800 Independence Avenue, SW Washington, DC 20591 Responses received after the deadline will not be considered. Any questions or comments should be directed to Brian Stora, Contract Specialist via e-mail at Brian.Stora@faa.gov. Telephonic and Facsimile inquiries will not be considered. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (03-MAY-2002). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 10-MAY-2002.
