- Description
- In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) paragraph 3.2.1.3.12, the purpose of this announcement is to request offers in response to attached solicitation. The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center's Airport and Aircraft Safety Research & Development Division has a requirement for a research project to investigate wire separation and segregation. Due to the need to maintain scientific objectivity, airplane manufacturers are not eligible to submit proposals for this requirement. The period of performance of the contract will be for 2 years and it is anticipated that a single, cost plus fixed fee contract will be awarded. The NAIC code is 54171, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering & Life Sciences. This requirement will be procured under full and open competition. A competitive solicitation is attached (two documents). Offerors may download it here and should monitor this site for amendments.
