- Description
- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement to continue the development of the National Forensic Laboratory Information System (NFLIS). The NFLIS systematically collects results from solid-dosage drug analyses conducted by State, local and other Federal forensic laboratories across the country. The centralized NFLIS database is accessible through the Interactive Data Site by users. Quarterly and annual reports and national projection are generated according to the collected data. Tasks include laboratory recruitment, statistical sampling, quality control, data collection data processing and data analysis and reporting. A cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is contemplated. The estimated solicitation (RFP) issue date is on or before May 1, 2002, and will be issued solely through the DEA?s acquisition website at http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/. Click on ?Acquisitions,? then ?Open Solicitations.? Hardcopies of the RFP will not be available. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offerors? responsibility to monitor this website for the release of the solicitation and any amendments. This is full and open competition. No set asides are involved. The proposed contract will have a period of performance of one year and four one-year options, beginning on September 27, 2002. Questions/comments will be accepted and may be sent via regular mail, e-mail, or fax (202-307-7818) to the primary and/or secondary point of contact in this announcement. No questions/comments will be accepted via telephone. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
