- Description
- This is a synopsis for ship repair under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is DTCG80-02-Q-3FAH09. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Price and past Performance factors will be used to evaluate offers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The RFQ package and specifications will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about June 3, 2002 at http://www.eps.gov/. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, power, and competence necessary to perform homepier dockside repairs to the USCGC CONFIDENCE (WMEC 619), a 210 ft Medium Endurance Cutter. The cutter?s homepier is located in Cape Canaveral, FL. Work items include but not limited to the following base and options items: Base items: (1) OVERHAUL CRESCENT (MSB)DAVIT (2) Travel and Per Diem. Option items: (1) Composite Labor Rate. The performance period is 29 days and is expected to begin 19 JULY 2002. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program. Small businesses are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
