Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The 15th Contracting Squadron (15 CONS), Hickam AFB Hawaii, anticipates issuing a solicitation, on or about 21 May 02, to acquire custodial services for Hickam Air Force Base (HAFB), Hawaii. The contractor will be asked to provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to manage and perform custodial services for approximately 1,458,485 Square Feet located in 88 buildings located on HAFB. The work primarily consists of sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, carpet cleaning/shampooing, trash removal, glass/window cleaning, cleaning/disinfecting, descaling showers, toilet bowls, and urinals. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition; therefore, the solicitation will be issued under FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds. This acquisition will be solicited as 100% HubZone Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561720 ($14 million). Once available, this solicitation must be downloaded from www.eps.gov, as no paper copies will be issued. All information required for submission of an offer will be identified in the solicitation. Due to increase in security, the solicitation will also identify the requirements necessary to request and obtain maps and/or drawings. The government contemplates award on or about 1 Sep 02, with a performance start date of 1 Oct 02. The resultant award will be made on an all or none basis to include a basic period with four option periods. This notice serves as preliminary information and does not obligate the government to award a contract, restrict the government in its ultimate acquisition approach, or obligate the government to pay for proposal cost.
