Description

The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, California 95110-2704, USA under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.501(a) "Sole Source Acquisitions" for continued online technical support and site licenses of the proprietary software "FORMFLOW CLASSIC" which is already installed and operating on machines at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, Maryland. The software has been used to implement over 300 forms in an electronic web based environment. The anticipated Contract Line Item Number (CLIN), description, and quantity are as follows: CLIN 0001: on-line Technical Support for FormFlow Classic, QTY: 1 year (65,000 users). Adobe is the only authorized North American dealer of FormFlow Classic maintenance and technical support known to the Government. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A solicitation is not available; therefore, written and/or verbal requests for copies of a solicitation related to this announcement will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
