Description
NA The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ has a requirement for the design, fabrication, demonstration and delivery of ten (10) each M139 VOLCANO Launcher Control Units (LCU) in accordance with Performance Specification PRF-QAAB-0139. The LCU shall provide the same functionality of the current DCU (NSN 1095-01-260-2732) and shall also provide enhanced performance of including the functions of the maintenance self-tester (NSN 1095-01-259-3211), contain and utilize an on-board Global Positioning System (GPS), and provide a visual display for assembly and troubleshooting procedures (in lieu of error codes). The contractor shall be familiar with the functionality of the current Volcano DCU as well as microprocessors and software development. A Technical Data Package (TDP) will be available for informational purposes only. Drawings contained in the TDP are marked with a limited distribution ?D? statement which limits distribution to Department of Defense components and their contractors. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available (without the TDP) electronically at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil. Send requests for the TDP to Shannon Wagner, Contract Specialist, AMSTA-AQ-APA, Bldg.10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000; email: swagner@pica.army.mil. All requests for this TDP must include a completed copy of DD Form 2345, ?Military Critical Technical Agreement?. This form will be reviewed and evaluated prior to release the TDP. The delivery schedule for the planned effort is as follows: 2 LCU units to be delivered 8 months after contract award, 4 units 10 months after award, and 4 units 14 months after award. Interested parties should submit their request to the Contract Specialist mentioned above, within 15 days of issuance of this notice. Electronic release of a competitive Request for Proposal is planned for on or about thirty (30) days from date of this announcement. Proposals shall be required within thirty (30) days of date of release of the RFP. See Numbered Notes 8 and 26.
