- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is soliciting proposals under a broad agency announcement, N00253-BAA-01-02. NUWCDIV Keyport is interested in proposals that identify methods of treatment, recycling, and/or disposal of MK 50 boilers(expended and non-expended) generated by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center(NUWC), Keyport WA. For consideration, proposals in response to this BAA shall be received by 10 June 2002, 1500 hours Pacific Time, addressed to Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport, Acquisition Division, 610 Dowell Street, Keyport WA 98345, Attn: Ms. Nicky Champion. This is an unrestricted solicitation. The purpose of this announcement is to investigate innovative technologies and approaches to recycling or disposal of MK50 boilers. In addition, the Navy is seeking to establish a broader base of capable and knowledgeable contractors that may co mpete for future contracts involving the treatment, recycling, and/or disposal of approximately 1050 boilers. Under this broad agency announcement, contracts will be awarded to those contractors who are determined technically acceptable to perform the required services, which include pickup; transportation; and, treatment, recycling, and/or disposal of four MK 50 boilers consisting of 2 expended and 2 non-expended boilers generated at NUWC Division Keyport, located in Keyport, WA. Proposals must include the following: A technical proposal consisting of no more than two 8? x 11? pages, that details its technical approach to the treatment, recycling, and/or disposal of MK50 boilers, including information regarding the facility to be utilized. The technical proposal will be reviewed and evaluated for technical acceptability. Elements considered in determining technical acceptab ility will be realism and innovation of approach, a demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing the handling of these boilers. No additional information will be considered. Submit pricing information separately, with unit and extended pricing information provided for 2 each expended boilers, and 2 each unexpended boilers. NUWC Division Keyport anticipates awarding up to a maximum of $80,000.00 in awards, issued on a firm fixed price, bilateral purchase order basis. Awards will be in place by 30 June 2002, with performance taking place during July 2002. No minimum or maximum number of awards can be guaranteed. Telephone request will not be honored.
