Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Washington, intents to award a competitive requirement for three (3) Storm-water Pumps and Controls. The Government intents to utilize reverse auction procedures for this procurement. This is a competitive, anonymous, on-line auction in which participants will submit a series of quotes/bids that descend in price during a specified period of time. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Contractor shall furnish a quantity of three (3) single stage, Vertical Turbine Solids-Handling (VTSH) pumps. Each unit shall be supplied complete with clog-bowl assembly, column with splitter vane, enclosed line shaft, underground discharge head, sole plate, water flush system, and driver. Pumps less than 30 feet in length shall be shipped completely assembled, less driver. The basis of design is FAIRBANKS MORSE 24" VTSH 005 or equal. Each pump unit shall be rated for 13,000 GPM at 35 pump total head (in feet) including velocity head losses at the pump discharge. Minimum bowl efficiency at rated head shall be 82%. Shut-off head is not to exceed 80 feet. NPSHR at rated condition shall be 20 feet. Maximum pump rotative speed shall not exceed 705RPM. Pump setting from bottom of baseplate to bottom of suction bell is 20 feet. Pumps shall be factory tested in accordance with hydraulic Institute Standards and a Certified Test Curve shall be provided. The Government will furnish a Request for Quotations (RFQ) on May 16, 2002. The RFQ will become available on May 15, 2002, at http://www.neco.navy.mil/.
