Description
This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). HIGH RESOLUTION MAGIC ANGLE SPINNING PROBE PROBE FOR EXISTING AVANCE 300 MHZ NMR SPECTROMETER PER THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS: 1.) The probe shall operate with the existing AVANCE 300 MHZ NMR Spectrometer. 2.) It shall be capable of observing both H1 and C13. 3.) It shall be equipped with D2 lock. 4.) The probe shall be capable of magic angle spinning up to 15 KHz magic angle spinning speed. 5.) The probe shall work with the existing pneumatic sample insert/eject system without removal of the probe from the magnet. 6.) The probe shall also be capable of variable temperature operation. 7.) The rotor shall be at least 4 mm in diameter. 8.) The probe shall be equipped with a magic angle gradient coil for generation of single axis gradients up to 40 g/cm. 9.) The probe shall have resolution of at least CA. 1.5 Hz on pure solvent samples 10.) At least 3 zirconia rotors with caps shall be supplied with the probe. (Quantity required: 1 each) NASA/GRC intends to purchase the item from Bruker Biospin Corp. THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE . A probe from other vendors of NMR equipment, would not be compatible with proprietary Bruker equipment already owned by the government. Bruker Instruments, Inc. is the only source for this item, which will seamlessly work with the existing magnet, probes, pneumatic system and high power amplifier The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 01-6. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 333314 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
