- Description
- This project is located in the Gallatin National Forest, Gardiner Ranger District, Park County, Montana; east of the NE entrance station into Yellowstone National Park beginning at the orientation site about 1/2 mile east of the NE YNP entrance station, then at Soda Butte Campground east of Cooke City about 1/2 mile, then easterly at various recreation sites along US 212 at Colter Campground, Broadwater Trailhead, Chief Joseph Campground, and Clarks Fork Trailhead near Chief Joseph pass on US 212 about 3 miles east of Cooke City. The project includes rehabilitation of 3 campgrounds and 2 trailheads and 1 orientation site including items like: road construction and reshaping and placing aggregate on roadways; constructing and reconstructing campground units; furnishing and installing new campground furniture such as fire grates, tables; replacing water systems in two campgrounds; and placing rock barriers to facilitate traffic control. Price Range is between $250,000 and $500,000.
