- Description
- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) to perform testing and to evaluate the dynamic performance of heavy truck tires used on vehicles over GVWR of 10,000lbs. This testing work focuses on two components: (1) a high speed test, and (2) an endurance test, and includes testing of heavy truck and retreaded heavy truck tires. The Government will provide the test matrices and test procedures. NAICS Code for this contract is 54138. A Fixed Price type of contract is planned. Electronic copies of the RFP and any other documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site or URL for the FedBizOpps page is www.fedbizoOpps.gov or the GSA Electronic Posting Service (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet sites for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential Offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Requests for paper copies of the RFP will not be accepted. Estimated date for release of solicitation is on or about June 17, 2002.
