- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with G&G Electrical Company, Charleston, SC for the period of one (1) year from date of award with four (4) one-year option renewals. Electrical services are to include but not limited to electrical requirements for the many automated systems, communication equipment and the plant mechanical structures at the VA Mailout Pharmacy, CMOP Charleston, 3725 Rivers Ave, N Charleston, SC 29405. The automated systems are complex and individuals must have a thorough understanding of the past installations for fulfilling future electrical requirements. Negotiations are beginning on or about May 31, 2002. This Notice of Intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this synopis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their services meets teh VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax to (205)933-4509. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
