Description
Services of a general contractor to furnish all tools, labor, materials and expertise to complete Project 596-310, ?Establish Ambulatory Surgery, Phase 2, CDD?, at VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, KY, in accordance with drawings and specifications. Work includes preparation of site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, etc. Estimated construction cost range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Work to be completed within 360 calendar days. With reference to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis and is subject to availability of funds. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) No. 233320 with a size standard of $27.5 million applies to this procurement. Solicitation documents (specifications and drawings) will be available for download on the Website http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ after June 7, 2002. Potential bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining any amendments to the solicitation, which will also be available at this website. Any bidders downloading the solicitation who wish to be included on the bidder?s mailing list should e-mail the contracting officer (angie.napier@med.va.gov) with its company name, point of contact, mailing address and telephone number. Requests for hard copy solicitation shall be in writing and must be accompanied by a refundable deposit of $150.00. Deposit must be in the form of a certified check, cashier?s check, or money order, made payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit scheduled for 10:00 a.m., local time, June 20, 2002.
