- Description
- Contractor will be responsible for addition/alteration of the existing commissary and expansion of the parking lot. Phasing of the overall construction work will be required to allow for Grocery operations and sales to remain in full and complete operation during the duration of the contract. The work to be done includes but is not limited to the following: Extend the sales floor eastward through the current produce preparation, storage areas and deli then westward through the manager's office spaces, frozen food freezer, and into the warehouse. Sales area depth will be reduced to provide space to relocate all preparation and refrigeration storage spaces. Provide and installed new Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) decor package through out the Sales Area, construct new administration offices by expanding into the existing warehouse, construct new sensitive storage room, damaged merchandise room, controlled temp. storage room, and meat/produce managers office in the existing warehouse; construct new admin. vestibule at front of commissary; upgrade the lighting in the sales area; complete replacement of the product refrigeration system equipment including the compressor racks, refrigeration piping, refrigeration monitoring control system (RMCS); some HVAC, plumbing and associated electrical work is also required. Time for project completion is approximately 540 calendar days. Offerors are responsible for Periodic Preventative Maintenance (PPM) 30 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) and will continue 90 calendar after final acceptance of the project. This acquisition is unrestricted. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bid guarantee is required. Estimated closing date for offers is on or about 9 July 2002. This project will be a Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) solicitation. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price, with past performance being more important than price. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the RFP may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. Telephone request for this proposal will not be honored.
