Description

Services are required for the operation and maintenance of the Ripsaw Range, Misawa AB, Japan. The solicitation will be issued on or about 3 Jun 02 with proposals due on or about 2 Jul 02. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted on or about 18 Jun 02. Attendance is limited to two persons per firm. This will provide an opportunity for prospected offerors to examine all general and local conditions of the site where the services are to be performed and ensure the government requirements. The full name, Social Security Number, and Passport Number of attendees must be provided in writing to Mr. Shigenori Wada at the above address, via fax (011-81-176-52-4793) or e-mail (shigenori.wada@misawa.af.mil) 7 days in advance of the pre-proposal conference and site visit. This acquisition is unrestricted and the applicable NAICS code is 56121. The Ripsaw Range comprises all United States Air Force (USAF) operations located at and in support of the USAF operated Class A joint use air-to-ground training range, and its associated airspace R130. Contract operations will provide operational and maintenance support of the M-2 scoring scopes, acoustiscore system, threat simulators/emitters, range maintenance, range facilities and areas, and range control. The actual land area is approximately 1892 acres. Navy and Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) own and maintain separate facilities on range. USAF and JASDF maintain the range according to an International Memorandum of Agreement. The basic period of performance will be from 1 Oct 02 to 30 Sep 03 with seven one-year options to extend the contract through 30 Sep 10. Electronic solicitation will be issued to those who submit a request for copy of solicitation to this squadron (ref. POC herein). All responsible sources may submit an offer. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Registering may take up to 3 weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
