Description

NA Maintenance Dredging, Chincoteague Inlet, Accomack County, VA. The project consists of maintenance and new work dredging of the Chincoteague Inlet Channel to a depth of 17 feet MLLW (NOS) with 1 foot of allowable overdepth. The work shall be performed by a hopper dredge with all dredged material from the channel transported to a pump out buoy for deposit by a hydraulic pipeline within the beach fill placement area at Wallops Island. The work involves dredging approximately 90,000 cubic yards of material, i ncluding allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at the Security/Reception Center at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility located near the Town of Wattsville, Accomack County, Virginia. To reach the Facility from U.S. Route 13, turn east on Route 175 and proceed approximately 5 miles. Turn left on Atlantic Road and continue to the Facility Main Entrance. Attendance is not mandatory. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Duration of the project is 90 calendar days for performance. This is a UNRESTRICTED Procurement. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $17 million. The NAICS code is 23499. The solicitation will be available on the internet only. No paper copies or CDs will be issued.
