- Description
- The National Park Service is requesting proposals for the installation and construction of a sprinkler system to water the 30' wide wildfire break surrounding the settlement area of Kalaupapa National Historic Site, Island of Molokai, Hawaii. It will be a performance contract in which the contractor will provide submittals and shop drawings for the waterline. It shall include considerations for connecting to an existing 6" cast iron water main and system, and will include shut off valves, backflow preventers and other safety appurtenances. The sprinkler zone will be divided into 3 zones to be operated separately, with a total length of approx. 4250 lf. Minimal trenching or burial will be required, approximately 50 lf.
