Description
This project involves the demolition of the existing bankruptcy courtroom and two chambers and construction of a new courtroom and one chamber on the second floor of the Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse. The design includes new ceilings, lighting, walls, millwork, furniture, carpeting and HVAC. Approximately, 10,400 S.F. located at the second floor are included. Infrastructure wireway for security, audio/visual and sound systems are also to be included. The completion time for this project is 240 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The estimated cost is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. This project is open to all business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with a size standard of $28.5 million. A subcontracting plan will be required if award is made to a large business concern. This is a negotiated procurement. Proposals will be opened privately. The number of proposals received, the identity of offers, the amount of any offer or relative standing of any offer will not be disclosed. Request for Proposals will be available on or about May 31, 2002. For security reasons, all requests for a copy of the documents must be made on the company's official letterhead accompanied by an original signature of an officer of the company and the officer's title. In order for the request to be valid, the requester must also provide a copy of the following documents: (1) company's current business license and (2) a valid Dun and Bradstreet number and (3) a valid IRS Tax ID number. No telephonic or E-mail requests will be honored. No hardcopies of the solicitation will be mailed. All solicitations will be stored on compact disc and mailed to the requester upon receipt of required information. All requests should be submitted to Mr. Phillip A. Moore, GSA, Contract Support Services Branch, 230 South Dearborn Street, Room 3324, Chicago, Illinois, 60604. Woman Owned, Hubzone, Veteran Owned and Small Disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to submit an offer. Best value method will be used to determine awardee. Evaluation factors will consist of past performance and price.
