Description

MAINTENANCE OF IBM 3490 TAPE SUBSYSTEM EQUIPMENT Provide all labor, material, parts and equipment necessary to maintain 1 IBM 3490 A02 Magnetic Tape Subsystem and 4 IBM 3490 B04 Tape Devices at the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Judiciary Data Center, One Columbus Circle, N. E., Washington, DC, for the period June 11, 2002 through September 30, 2003. Provide on-call, on-site maintenance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Monday thru Sunday with a 2 hour on-site response time. At no time will the equipment be down for longer than 8 consecutive hours. Each 3490 B04 include 4 tape transports. Each 3490 B04 also includes IBM feature codes 3132 - Improved Data Recording and 3356 - Dual Channel Adapter. The IBM 3490 tape subsystem interfaces with an EMASS (ADIC) automated tape library. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be provided. A written solicitation will not be issued and any requests for a solicitation package will not be acknowledged. This synopsis shall serve as Request for Quotations RFQ-CB-002 which seeks written proposals for the type of maintenance outlined herein. Proposals will be accepted until close of business June 3, 2002. This acquisition will be processed using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is our intention to issue an order under a GSA FSS Contract, so please provide your GSA contract information with your proposal. Proposals received in response to this notice will be considered for award to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest overall cost to the Government. Questions relating to this notice shall be submitted in writing no later than May 28, 2002 and sent via facsimile. Answers will be provided in writing via facsimile before time for proposals expires.
