Description
The USDA Forest Service has a requirement to provide Urban Forestry training and placement for students at the Pine Knot Job Corps Center, McCreary County, Kentucky, Ouachita Job Corps Center, Garland County, Arkansas, Treasure Lake Job Corps Center, Comanche County, Oklahoma and for the students at Mingo Job Corps Center, Stoddard County, Missouri. The Job Corps provides young adults the necessary job training, which enables them to gain meaningful employment upon graduation. The proposed project includes the training and placement of students involved in the Urban Forestry program as well as the supply and maintenance of training equipment/materials. Pine Knot Job Corps Center is located 3 miles south of Whitby City, Kentucky, on Highway 27. The center is located on the right side of the highway. Ouachita Job Corps Center is located 15 miles west of Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Highway 270. Follow signs to the center. Treasure Lake Job Corps Center is located 21 miles west of Lawton Oklahoma on Highway 62. Turn right on Farm ?to-Market Road. Go 5 miles north to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge; the center is located 1 mile east. Mingo Job Corps Center is located approximately 4 miles from Puxico, Missouri, take Highway 51 south approximately 2 miles to Highway T and make a right, proceed on 7-8 miles the center is on the right hand side of the highway. The performance period for the proposed contract is for one (1) year. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition.
