Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement for dockside repairs to be performed at Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. The performance period will be 17 calendar days with a start date on or about June 26, 2002 and shall be completed on or before July 12, 2002. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship Albatross IV, a 187 foot, 33 ft beam (molded); propulsion - single screw, CPP, CAT D379 diesels; electrical system - 2 CAT SSDG's 215 KW, 440 VAC, 3 phase; crew size - 23. Vessel's homeport is Woods Hole, MA. Basic contract items include Trawl Winch Sheave Refurbishment, Generator Overhaul, Rescue Boat Storage Cabinet, Electrical Wire Identification, Wet Lab Gear Locker Modification and others. All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications to be provided. Vessel will be available for inspection on June 7, 2002 in Woods Hole, MA. This award is intended for award under simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will be provided in response to written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor. Telephone requests will not be honored.
