Description
Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform operations necessary to replace the existing boilers and hot water heaters in seven (7) duplex housing units located at USCG, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, ALASKA. Work includes the removal and replacement of the existing boiler with a new contractor provided boiler, removal of the two (2) existing electric hot water heaters and replacing them with a single Government furnished equipment (GFE) Amtrol indirect-fired water heater, and all incidental piping and electrical modifications needed to provide a complete and operational system as described in the contract specifications and shown on CG Drawing No. 23734. Work shall be performed on site at duplex housing units 804 and 805 Point Sherman Drive, and 823, 824, 826, 827 and 828 Lake Louise Drive at USCG, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, ALASKA. The Contractor will be shown the exact location of each duplex housing unit by the Contracting Officer. Contractor is responsible for field verification of all material sizes and quantities necessary for the complete installation of this project before quoting. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None . Performance Period is 30 - 45 days. . SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD include but are not limited to: manufacturer's catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to laboratory data, MSDS's, references / applicator's qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: ASTM, CFR, MIL SPEC, FED STD, applicable OSHA regulations and Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY February 19, 2002. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. Estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed contract will be awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately February 19, 2002. Written quotes will be due on / about March 20, 2002.
