Description
Folder Crossfolder Machine with Small Piece Double Fold Drapping Stacker and Large Piece Stacker/Conveyor 1 each, Four lane combination folder-cross-folder and stacker shall be an integral unit equipped with a conveyor feed and capable of meeting ironer production requirements. Production - 1080 sheets per hour, 980 pillowcases per hour, 970 (36 inches X 36 inches) double thickness cotton surgical wraps per hour, 1300 (24 inches X 24 inches) double thickness cotton surgical wraps per hour.a. Combination folder-cross folder, four-lane. b. Four-lane folder crossfolder shall be capable of receiving small pieces from the flatwork ironer. c. Electrical characteristics - 480 volts, 3 phase, 60 cycles. d. Folding machine shall be installed, leveled and have a leveling device installed on the machine. e. Folding machine shall be equipped with four (4) lockable casters. f. Folding machine shall be interlocked to the ironing system. g. Each lane shall be equipped with a counter to determine the number of small pieces folded. h. The machine shall be equipped with an illuminating emergency stop button (colored RED) when activated, inter-locked with the entire ironing system and when activated shall render the entire ironing system, spreader feeder, ironer, folder crossfolder and stacker) inoperable. Must be compatible and interfaced with current Jensen America ironer. i.Folder shall have reverse jog capability and will be equipped with a static bar eliminator bar. j. The stacker/conveyor shall maintain the quality of the folded items during the stacking process. k. The stacker/conveyor shall receive folded flatwork from the folder/Crossfolder and drop release the flatwork into a precise stack by using a combination centering conveyor, drop blade mechanism, and an air operated disc brake. l. The stacker/conveyor shall reject flatwork that has not folded properly or has not folded to a specific predetermined size. m. The stacker/conveyor shall be microprocessor controlled. n. The stacker/conveyor shall operate with a predetermined stack count of up to 20 large pieces of flatwork items and shall automatically transport in increments providing space for the next stack. o. The stacker/conveyor shall be caster mounted and of the modular concept so that it can be plugged into the folder/Crossfolder for utility connections by using quick disconnects. p. Folder speed shall be variable speed controlled with speeds from 40 FPM to 200 FPM. q. Four lane double fold draping stacker shall have a minimum of 2 catch bars per lane. r. Draping stacker shall drape stack a minimum of 10 pillowcases folded twice, on each of the four lane catch bars. s. Draping stacker shall have individual lane reset buttons that reset the stack count to 0 and moves the stack to the unload position. t. Each lane shall be equipped with production counters.
