- Description
- The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has a requirement for unknown quantities of various types of aggregate. The estimated types of aggregate are: surge stone, 8" rip-rap, GAB, Georgia DOT #4 stone and #57 stone, and spec 4 stone. The stone is to be hauled and tailgate spread along various National Forest and County roads within the boundaries of the Tallulah Ranger District (Rabun County, Georgia, and a small portion of Towns County to NC line). Stone must come from GA DOT certified quarry. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation identified as RFQ 8-3-02-12 is issued as a Request for Quotations. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Please state your price per ton for the following Items: Line Item 01 -- surge stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 02-- GAB stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 03-- #4 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 04-- #57 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 05--Spec 4 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 06--Surge stone, hauled and tailgate spread. DELIVERY: Deliveries are to be made beginning upon award and no orders will be placed later than December 31, 2002. Exact directions to project locations to be given after award. SUBMIT OFFERS: on company letterhead or form, no later than close of business June 17, 2002, to Contracting Division, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, 1755 Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, GA 30501. Quotes may be FAXed to 770-297-3011. Provide quote by line item per ton with haul and spread included in price. Quotes must indicate quarry source and include a completed copy of clause 52.212-3 Representations and Certifications. Quotes will be evaluated on price and capability of the item to meet the agency need. An Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery contract will be awarded from this solicitation. Orders will be placed as needed throughout the contract period (Award date through December 31, 2002). More than one award may result from this solicitation with a minimum guaranteed purchase of $5000 to each awardee. No more than $100,000 will be paid to a single awardee. Delivery orders will be evaluated on (1) price and (2) availability at time of need.
